(Las Vegas, NV)  –  A local charity that helps low-income residents pay their rent and utility bills has been hit by thieves.

Thousands of dollars worth of gift cards were taken from the offices of HopeLink of Southern Nevada last week.

The cards were to be handed out just before Christmas.  Officials say the theft will hurt many deserving clients.
