Technicality May Set 911 Abuser Free

(Las Vegas, NV) — A man accused of dialing Henderson’s 911 system more than 3,600 times is expected to be released from custody.

According to Henderson Justice Courts, a criminal complaint for 35-year-old Tuy Thai was not filed in time for his initial court appearance, which was scheduled for Thursday.

Police arrested Thai on Nov. 7. The department said Thai’s cellphone called 911 a total of 59 times in the two days before he was arrested.

Police accused Thai of calling 911 more than 3,600 times in the past year.

Thai was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on 59 counts of unlawful use of 911.
