(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Clark County commissioners have postponed a vote on a plan to have a separate board oversee day-to-day operations at University Medical Center.

Several critics say the board would make decisions about the county-subsidized hospital without public oversight.

UMC has been losing millions of dollars in recent years, by picking up the tab for uninsured patients.

The Legislature would have to approve any changes.  A vote is now scheduled for December 5th.
