(Carson City, NV) — The panel that predicts how much tax revenue Nevada lawmakers can spend is forecasting modest economic growth.
Economic Forum chairman Ken Wiles is “cautiously optimistic” about the Silver State’s recovery over the next few years. But some tax revenues are expected to drop unless the Legislature extends increases approved in 2011.
Governor Brian Sandoval has come out in support of continuing the tax hikes.
The Economic Forum will meet again November 30th to issue its revenue projections.
Lawmakers are required to use those numbers when setting Nevada’s two-year budget.
