Live And Local With Kevin Wall 11/08/12: Joe Heck, Small Businesses, And The Gripe Line
CBS LAS VEGAS-Now that the 2012 Election is over, Congress has to get back to work during a lame duck session to get things done before the first of the year. United States Congressman Joe Heck previews what he will be doing during the lame duck session in Congress. A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama’s re-election. Small Business Owners tell us how their business is being affected by the reelection of Barack Obama.
“David” (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) is a small business owner and he laid off 22 workers the day after the election and he said the “elections have consequences” and that “at the end of the day, I need to survive.” Will President Obama’s reelection result in employers having to lay off workers? Callers tell us if the reelection of President Barack Obama will affect their business.
