(Las Vegas, NV) — U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has been released after a six-car traffic accident shortly after 1 p.m. Friday.
Senator Reid was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. A statement from Reid’s office says the senator experienced rib and hip contusions
Members of Reid’s staff received injuries and were examined at UMC. No further word has been made available on their condition.
The crash happened on northbound I-15 near Sahara, according to Nevada Highway Patrol Jeremie Elliott.
The accident included two Las Vegas SWAT vehicles, two federal government vehicles and two civilian vehicles.
