(Las Vegas, NV) — Downtown Las Vegas’ oldest hotel is celebrating is first major renovation in five decades.
The Golden Gate Hotel hosted a major block party along the Fremont Street Experience last night, to mark the end of a $15 million makeover.
The five-story property drew inspiration from its past to give the lobby and suites a new look. There’s also an expanded casino and a special area for high-rollers.
The Golden Gate first opened as the Hotel Nevada in 1906. It’s claim to fame is serving up a giant shrimp cocktail for just under three dollars.
