(Las Vegas, NV) — Deadlines come and go. But the upcoming deadline to vote won’t be around for another four years.
And because of that the Clark County Election Department is encouraging residents who plan to vote November 6th to jump online to register or verify or update current information.
Clark County Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax told KXNT it’s what you need to register online. “The only thing that’s going to work is either a Nevada driver’s license or DMV issued identification.”
By going online you can change your address or party affiliation. If you would rather register through the mail you can call 455-vote and request an application.
The deadline to vote without appearing in person is October 6th. After, you may still register through October 16th at the following locations:
- Clark County Election Center-965 Trade Drive, Suite A-North Las Vegas
- Clark County Election Department-500 Grand Central Parkway-downtown Las Vegas
Lomax added that there is always one glaring mistake each election year.
“Big problem we have every election is people assume they are registered and they are not and nothing can be done until it’s too late.”
