(Las Vegas, NV)  –  Three former employees of The Palms’ race and sports book have been indicted by a federal grand jury.

The “Review-Journal” reports ex-sports book manager Michael Albanese and two others are accused of accepting so-called “invalid” horse race wagers.  Bettor Charles Pecchio also faces charges in the scheme, which authorities say defrauded the resort out of more than $800,000.

The alleged betting took place between July 2006 and July 2007.

Palms officials have refused comment.
