(Henderson, NV) — Search efforts have resumed today for a teenager who reportedly fell into a Henderson flood channel.
Police and firefighters began the search for 17 year-old William Mootz Wednesday morning, after someone reported seeing him in the Pittman Wash near Sunset Road and Stephanie. Crews searched for hours but suspended efforts.
Henderson Public Information Officer Keith Paul told KXNT where the search may inevitably end.
“The Pittman Wash goes into the Las Vegas Wash, and ultimately into Lake Mead.”
All across the valley, there were reports of people who had fallen into flood channels. One person was pulled from a wash on East Flamingo Road near the Strip.
