LONDON – UNLV track & field assistant coach Khadevis Robinson was unable to advance to the semifinals of the 800-meter run at the Olympic Games Monday morning in Olympic Stadium.
Robinson finished fourth in his heat in a time of 1:47.17, unable to advance via the three automatic qualifying spots, or among the three wild card qualifiers to the semifinals. Robinson finished in 25th place overall.
Robinson was caught up among a bunched early pack and was unable to set a tempo for his race. He was still positioned for a late sprint in the last 100 meters to get an automatic qualifying position, but was unable to move up the leaderboard.
