(Las Vegas, NV) — The real estate case involving Wayne Newton hit an interesting snag during Thursday’s testimony.
Before Kathleen Newton resumed her testimony in court, counsel for the defense barged-in with an order in an attempt to resolve the case.
No less than seven stiplulations were presented but the Newton’s attorney didn’t blink.
“This is just another end around the obligations that the Harber’s committed to make. Now, it’s the exercise of that tyranny of the majority against the minority (the Newton family). That’s what we have here., said Newton attorney Stephen Peek.
Among the stipulations put forth by the plaintiffs are that the Newtons will receive the balance of the $2 million that was to go to a home as well the ability to remain at Casa de Shenandoah until a new home is built. A briefing to hear the order has been set for Aug. 28th.
Testimony is expected to continue through Friday.
