(Carson City, NV)  —  Democrats have the edge over Republicans when it comes to registering Nevada voters.

The Secretary of State’s office says Democrats have registered nearly 9900 active voters since May 22nd, while the GOP signed up close to 4500 voters during the same period.  Newly-registered non-partisan voters were close behind.

Officials say more than 41% of Nevada voters are registered Democrats, compared to nearly 37% for Republicans and close to 17% for independents.
