(Carson City, NV) – Democrats have delayed a contract for promoting rural Nevada tourism.
Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford, who sits on the Interim Finance Committee, has questioned why an out-of-state firm won a three-million-dollar bid to do advertising and public relations.
New York-based Burson-Marsteller won the competitive bid. One Republican has accused the panel of overstepping its bounds by delaying the contract. The committee is scheduled to revisit the subject at a later date.
