(Las Vegas, NV)  —  An unknown white substance at the Clark County Government Center was found to pose no threat.

Metro Police sealed off the sixth floor of the downtown building yesterday afternoon, after the powder was discovered on Commission Chairwoman Susan Brager’s desk.  Spokesman Erik Pappa says the substance was actually chalk.

On  May 10th, an envelope with unknown powder was found in the government center’s assessor’s office.  It was also considered harmless.
