LAS VEGAS (AP) — Three young children are dead, two adults are hospitalized and police, firefighters and federal authorities are investigating an intense fire that consumed two mobile homes in a northeast Las Vegas trailer park.

Clark County fire Battalion Chief Greg Cassell says firefighters fought heavy flames before finding the bodies of three youngsters during the two-alarm blaze about 10:30 a.m. Friday at a mobile home park off Las Vegas Boulevard North and Cheyenne Avenue.

The two boys and a girl were all under age 3.

Cassell says the parents are hospitalized with minor injuries.

A neighbor wasn’t home when his trailer also burned.

Federal ATF agents have joined police and fire investigators at the scene.

There’s not much left. The two mobile homes were reduced to blackened wooden ribs and charred rubble.
