(Las Vegas, NV) — The Clark County school board will consider a hike in the price of school lunches. Under a new law, school districts can no longer use federal dollars to subsidize students who don’t get free or reduced-price lunches.
The price of a lunch for non-subsidized students will go up either ten cents or 25-cents. Officials say with a tight budget, they have no other choice.
The school board will vote on the price hike Monday afternoon.
