(Las Vegas, NV)  — Clark County commissioners have approved a nearly 500-thousand-dollar settlement for a former assistant parks manager.

Terry Lamuraglia claimed he was fired in 2008 for an aborted plan to leave dozens of parks unguarded during the Memorial Day holiday.  Lamuraglia also alleged he refused to discriminate against a gay manager who made then-parks director Leonard Cash feel “uncomfortable.”

Commissioner Steve Sisolak was the only member to vote against the settlement.
