Las Vegas – The Las Vegas Wranglers manage to shutout the Alaska Aces 3-0 on Friday to even up the best of seven series 1-1. Only 88 seconds into the game, Wranglers left wing Josh Lunden scored on Aces goaltender Gerald Coleman to give Las Vegas a quick 1-0 lead. Less than three minutes later, Wranglers center Scott Campbell tallied another shot on Coleman, and the team had a 2-0 advantage in the first 4:06 minutes of the game. Campbell added a second goal in the remaining 42 seconds of the period, giving Las Vegas the three-goal lead and the eventual final score. After Alaska changed goalies to open the second period, Aces goaltender James Reid stopped 13 shots from the Wranglers to prevent Las Vegas from scoring again. The Aces had a 5-3 man advantage midway through the second, but were unable to capitalize on it. Fallon earned Three Star honors for his first playoff shutout this season, as did Lunden (1 goal, 2 assists) and Campbell (2 goals) for their multiple-point performances. The Wranglers head to Anchorage for four road games against the Aces starting Sunday, April 29. The team will return to Las Vegas for game seven, if necessary, on Wednesday, May 9 at 7:05 p.m.
