Former College Of Southern Nevada standout Bryce Harper has been called up by the Nationals. He will be taking the roster spot of third baseman Ryan Zimmerman who is on the 15 day disabled list. The 19 year old outfielder was the number 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft. Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said for Bryce it is the optimal situation developmentally. He signed a five year, 9.9 million dollar contract with the Nationals in August of 2010.
