Las Vegas – The Las Vegas 51′s 30th season opener on Thursday night wasn’t very memborable as Sacramento scored 11 runs on 18 hits to give the River Cats an 11-6 victory. The 51s rallied with four runs in the fifth inning to come to within 7-6, but it wasn’t enough. The River Cats scored three in the seventh to resume control. Eight of the River Cats’ nine starters had at least two hits, and nine of the hits were for extra bases. The 51′s hope to bounce back Friday night in game two of their four game stretch against the River Cats, first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
