Senator Harry Reid Focuses On Manners

(Las Vegas, NV) — If Senator Harry Reid has his way, airport security workers will be nicer to international travelers.

The majority leader says he will ask Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to order TSA workers to, quote, “smile and say ‘hello'”. Reid says international travelers have complained about the way they are treated at security gates.

“People who work for our government have to be able to do it with a smile on their face. People who have responsibilities for welcoming people to America aren’t doing it with a smile on their face. Everyone who works for TSA should say hello and welcome with a smile on their face.”

His comments came after a meeting Thursday with Interior Secretary Ken Salazar on ways to boost tourism.

What about Domestic travelers? Are we chopped liver. We pay their salaries (just like yours Mr. Reid and Ms. Napolitano). They should treat everybody with a smile and hello. It’s bad enough we have to put up with those body scans and pat downs. But, what can you expect from Union Government workers?
