LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are looking for an armed man who threw a parishioner to the ground and demanded his wallet near a Las Vegas Catholic church.
Authorities say the parishioner was walking from his vehicle toward St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church on Sahara Avenue about 8 a.m. Sunday when two suspects pulled up in a car and asked for directions.
After the man talked with them, the passenger left the vehicle, grabbed the victim, pointed a gun at him and demanded his wallet.
Police say the man ran off, but the suspect caught him and threw him to the ground, threatening to shoot if he didn’t give up the wallet.
The victim refused, and the suspect got in a light colored sedan and left.
