Las Vegas – A number of Mountain West coaches have expressed their concerns of what they call an unfair advantage the Rebels have by hosting the Mountain West Tournament at the Thomas and Mack, during yesterdays weekly teleconference New Mexico head coach Steve Alford through in his two cents: “One school gets to play home games and no one else does. There’s some imbalance there.”  San Diego State head coach Steve Fisher had this to offer: “Nobody wants to play Vegas on their home floor. Last time I checked, no one has beaten them there. Who would want to play a conference tournament on somebody else’s home floor? UNLV head coach Dave Rice even admitted: “It certainly is an advantage for us. It would be hypocritical for me to say otherwise.” The 3rd seeded Rebels face the 6th seeded Wyoming Cowboys this Thursday at 8:30 at the Thomas and Mack, the winner will face the winner of the Colorado State vs. Air Force game.
