Water Authority Seeks Input

(Las Vegas) The Southern Nevada Water Authority will hold three workshops this week to discuss the best possible avenue of a surcharge increase. The meetings will follow an open house format. Customers are invited to attend a time and location that is most convenient to learn about funding options for critical water infrastructure, speak one-on-one with staff representatives and visit booths on related topics. There are three ways the Board of Directors can go in regard to the increase: 1)A flat-rate increase. 2) An increase depending on the amount of water each home/business uses per month. 3) A hybdrid of the two. The times and locations of the workshops are as follows: Tonight at Marvin M. Sedway Middle School, 3465 Englestad St., North Las Vegas; Wednesday at Ernest Becker Middle School, 9151 Pinewood Hills Dr., Las Vegas; Thursday at Bob Miller Middle School, 2400 Cozy Hill Circle, Henderson. All meetings are scheduled from 5p-8p.
