LAS VEGAS (CBS Vegas) — Nothing says love on Valentine’s Day like shooting an ice cream truck from the comfort of your own home.
As part of a promotion for upcoming video game “Twisted Metal,” fans of the series will be allowed to fire an M249 Squad Automatic machine gun at an ice cream truck located in the Nevada desert through their Internet browser.
Users register through the promotion’s website, and when the designated time arrives they’ll receive a message allowing them to log in and unload up to 850 rounds per minute with the gas operated, air-cooled assault weapon.
The promotion’s website promises that over 100,000 bullets will be fired.
The ice cream truck in is honor of Sweet Tooth the clown, fan favorite and series mascot who drives around a fully armed ice cream truck.
“Twisted Metal” – the eighth game in the Twisted Metal series — is a car combat video game where players choose their vehicles and fight each other in an obstacle course. It will be released later this year on the Sony Playstation 3.
