LAS VEGAS (AP) — Billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian has donated $18 million to a Las Vegas charter school founded by tennis legend Andre Agassi.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Agassi announced the donation at his Foundation for Education’s 16th Grand Slam for Children Benefit Concert on Saturday night at Wynn Las Vegas.

Agassi says it’s a record donation that will help guarantee the future in perpetuity of the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy for at-risk students.

In all, the benefit concert and auction raised an estimated $26.1 million, including Kerkorian’s donation.

Performing to a crowd of about 1,400 were Michael Bublé, Martina McBride, Smokey Robinson, Jimmy Kimmel and Train.

Agassi has helped raise more than $150 million for education reform with his foundation.
