LAS VEGAS (AP) — A veteran Las Vegas police officer is on paid leave following his off-duty arrest with a woman who authorities identified as a prostitute.
Officer Peter Hervoyavich was charged with soliciting a prostitute and released from custody following his arrest about 1 a.m. Tuesday in his personal vehicle in a parking lot several blocks east of the Las Vegas Strip.
A statement released by the department on Wednesday says the woman was also arrested.
Hervoyavich has been a Las Vegas police officer for 17 years.
