(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Las Vegas’ tourism numbers continue to rise.  The Convention and Visitors Authority says nearly three-and-a-half-million people came to Sin City in July, an increase of more than four percent from a year ago.  It was also the 17th straight month of tourism gains.  Also going up is room rates, which averaged 99-dollars in July.  But convention attendance fell 18 percent from July 2010’s numbers.
