Labor Secretary Pitches Jobs Plan
(Las Vegas, NV) — Labor Secretary Hilda Solis has made a pitch for President Obama’s jobs plan in Las Vegas. During a speech to the Laborers’ International Union yesterday, Solis said the 447-billion-dollar package would help Nevadans, because it contains major construction projects. Solis is also hopeful to get bipartisan support. But Republican leaders are rejecting Obama’s call to pay for the plan with higher taxes from wealthier Americans.
