Harmon Ave. To Close Overnight Near Vegas Strip
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials say Harmon Avenue will be closed overnight near the Las Vegas Strip to allow construction to continue on a pedestrian bridge.
A Clark County spokeswoman says the closure from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday will let workers weld the deck and pour concrete for the new pedestrian bridge spanning Harmon Avenue.
While work is under way, about 300 feet of roadway will be closed east of Las Vegas Boulevard near the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and the Miracle Mile Shops.
The new pedestrian bridge will go to the three-level Harmon Corner retail and restaurant shopping plaza being built at Harmon Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.
It’s due to open in December.
