LAS VEGAS (AP) — McCarran International Airport officials are warning that installing a new information board is expected to snarl traffic for the next two weeks at a key intersection near the Las Vegas airport.
Airport spokesman Chris Jones says that beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, construction near the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Paradise Road will cause road restrictions and limit access to a key airport entry point.
Turn lanes from Tropicana Avenue will be temporarily closed.
Motorists who regularly use Tropicana Avenue to get to the airport or the Airport Connector Tunnel are being encouraged to find alternate routes until Sept. 12.
Workers will be installing a new 60-foot-wide electronic sign structure in advance of the opening next year of the airport’s new $2.4 billion Terminal 3 project.
