LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials say an Air Force investigative unit joined the FBI and police in a raid on a Las Vegas gun store.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the raid on Citadel Gun & Safe on South Dean Martin Drive occurred Friday afternoon.

Nellis Air Force Base spokesman Master Sgt. Andrew Lynch declined to provide details, saying the operation was part of an ongoing investigation involving the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigation.

The paper interviewed witnesses who said they saw officers shouting “search warrant” and enter the store. They said police were seen going in and out of an office behind the store.

The paper says both police and FBI also declined to comment on the purpose of the raid.

A phone call early Saturday to the Office of Special Investigations by The Associated Press wasn’t immediately returned.
