Vegas Home Prices Down 10 Percent From July 2010
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Real estate agents in Las Vegas say there were more homes sold in July compared to the year before, but that home prices continued a downward slide.
The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors published a report Tuesday showing more than 4,000 single-family homes were sold last month at a median price of $122,000.
A year ago, fewer than 3,800 homes sold in July.
The median price was down 2 percent from June and down 10 percent from July 2010.
Overall, there were more properties on the market last month than there were a year ago. There were nearly 11,000 homes listed without any sort of offer last month. That’s up 8.4 percent from July 2010.
More than half of all homes sold last month were purchased with cash.
