LAS VEGAS (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton is coming to Nevada for a private speaking engagement at a home furnishings trade show.
Clinton is set to speak at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.
World Market Center spokesman Justin McVay says more than 10,000 people will be attending the hour-long speech. About 50,000 people from around the world are in town this week for the semi-annual Las Vegas Market show.
McVay says the group sought out Clinton for his expertise in globalization, and hopes to gather insight about what the world marketplace looks like from the former president’s post.
McVay says Tuesday’s event is the first time the Las Vegas Market has featured a world leader as keynote speaker.
The speech is not open to the general public.
