(Las Vegas, NV) — Governor Brian Sandoval says his decision to extend tax increases was the right one. He tells the “Review-Journal” the state is “better positioned” in case Nevada’s two largest counties are awarded money they believe the state owes them. Sandoval moved to extend $600-million in tax increases that were set to expire this month, after the Nevada Supreme Court ruled the state wrongly took money from a Las Vegas government agency. Conservatives say the governor should have
let the taxes expire.
