(Carson City, NV) — Governor Brian Sandoval kept the state running yesterday by putting his signature on five key budget bills. The measures will fund state government for the next two years, at a cost of nearly $18 billion. They will help provide basic funding for public schools and rehabilitate buildings.
State workers will see a 2.5% pay cut starting July 1st, along with six days of unpaid furlough leave each year. Sandoval also signed bills to study funding options for higher education, and a measure to help stop bullying in schools.
