(Carson City, NV) — Time may be running out for a bill allowing concealed weapons on the state’s college and university campuses. Although the measure has passed the Senate, the Assembly Judiciary Committee refused to bring the bill up for a vote yesterday.
The change has been opposed by faculty members, who believe having guns on campus won’t make colleges safer. Current law allows concealed weapons only if approved by a college or university president.
Lawmakers have until tonight to take action before the bill dies this session.
