(Las Vegas,NV)  —  A judge scolded a local father for leaving his disabled son in a hot vehicle before sentencing him to at least eight years in prison.  Stanley Rimer was found guilty in the 2008 death of four-year-old Jason, who was left in the SUV for 17 hours. 

Stanley Rimer was also convicted of child abuse and neglect for abusing five of their eight children.  District Judge Doug Herndon lashed out at Stanley Rimer after he blamed his wife, Colleen, for what happened. 

Colleen Rimer was also convicted in the case and will be sentenced in July.
