MOUNTAIN CITY, Nev. (AP) — Rescue teams on the ground and in the air have resumed the search in the northeastern Nevada backcountry for a Canadian man who became stranded with his wife seven weeks ago.

Albert Chretien set out on foot to look for help and hasn’t been heard from since. Authorities believe Albert has a hand-held GPS device with him, but so far it has not helped in the search.

Rita Chretien was rescued Friday by hunters and returned home to British Columbia yesterday.
