(Las Vegas, NV) – About 50 soldiers from the Nevada National Guard received a hero’s welcome after returning home from Afghanistan. Friends and family members gathered to welcome the Henderson-based 137th Military Police Detachment at the valley’s Readiness Center this weekend.
The soldiers had served in Afghanistan for about a year. The Nevada Guard has about 600 soldiers remaining in that country, with most assigned to the Expeditionary Signal Battalion.
