(Las Vegas, NV) – Nevada is hoping to get some of the federal government’s money for a high speed rail system. The “Las Vegas Sun” says the Federal Railroad Administration is looking at more than 90 proposals totaling nearly 10-billion dollars.
They include a proposal to connect Las Vegas with such Western cities as Phoenix, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. Last month, Florida Governor Rick Scott rejected two-point-four-billion dollars in high speed rail funding, which sparked the competition for tax money.
