LAS VEGASThe Southern Nevada Health District has notified 101 patients who underwent prostate biopsies between Dec. 20, 2010 and March 11, 2011 at Dr. Michael Kaplan’s office in Henderson. The notification comes after a joint investigation conducted by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The investigation found Dr. Kaplan reused endocavity needle guides, which are single-use-only medical devices.

The health district says the risk of disease transmission is thought to be low and testing is being recommended as a precautionary measure.

It’s sad that it seems that Dr. Kaplan didn’t seem to learn what happened at the Endoscopy center of Southern Nevada. I have to say that it is really disappointing for some students and teachers of the medical field. It actually makes you feel sick to your stomach to think that people in general just don’t care.

  2. you might have a terrific weblog right here! would you wish to make some invite posts on my weblog?
