Vegas Visitor Volume Up In 2010
More people visited Las Vegas in 2010. In December, nearly two-point-nine-million people visited Las Vegas, making it the tenth straight month visitor volume rose. But convention attendance dropped slightly last year and the number of available rooms in Vegas actually fell in 2010 with the temporary closure of the Plaza Hotel in downtown and Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas. December’s opening of the Cosmopolitan on the Strip helped bring the number of rooms to nearly the same level as December 2009.
