A national firearms group plans to host its annual trade show in Las Vegas this week, while some are calling for tougher gun restrictions after the Arizona shootings.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation opens its four-day Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade show today. Children under age 16 are not admitted to the show at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Personal firearms are also not allowed.
More than 58,400 people and 1,600 exhibitors attended the show in 2010.
Gun opponents have renewed calls for Congress to limit access to weapons not used for hunting after a shooter in Tucson on Jan. 8 shot 19 people, including Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
