Google TV To Hit Stores

So, how much are you willing to pay to be able to watch the Internet on your big-screen set, along with your regular TV programming?

The answer, according to Sony, between $600 and $1,400. That’s how much Sony is selling its new lineup of TVs featuring Google’s Web-surfing system. The high-def sets were unveiled last night in New York. The sets have LCD screens ranging from 24 to 46 inches — and that run between $200 and $400 more than similar sets without the software that lets you check out Google’s offerings. Sony will begin selling the new sets in its online store starting Saturday. They should be available in Best Buy stores early next week. If you’re the impatient type, you can also pre-order the sets now.
