Job Fairs with real jobs are underway in the valley.
Organizers of two job fairs being held in Las Vegas say there are jobs. United Healthcare of Nevada is holding a job fair Tuesday and Wednesday at the company offices at 2716 North Tenaya Way. The job fair is open until 7pm on Tuesday and from 8am until 4pm on Wednesday.
Carmel Fritz, Senior Vice President of Human Capital with United Healthcare of Nevada tells KXNT the job fair begins with 110 positions available. The positions from non medical customer service to highly skilled nursing positions. Fritiz says people with experience in the hospitality industry and other non-medical related fields may qualify for some of these non medical professional positions.
People interested in applying are urged to bring a resume, dress for success and attend the job fair. Fritz says the intent is to fill these positions, interviews and offers to qualified candidates will be made.
Bob Hillman , of National Career Fairs is conducting a job fair on Tuesdya t the Texas Station Hotel/Casino. Hillman asys 20 companies are represented , including staffing, real estate, security and gaming. Hillman who has organzied over 500 job fairs say it may not what happens today, but what begins today that’s so imporant. Hillman says the key fo finding a good job is networking, like sales it’s a numbers games. The more people you meet, the more resumes you distribute, the better the odds of succeeding in your job search.
