“The Social Network” movie about the making of Facebook may dominate the box office this weekend.
“The Social Network” opens in theaters nationwide today. The much-anticipated movie features Jesse Eisenberg in the role of Facebook innovator Mark Zuckerberg in a film about the website’s origins. Pop star Justin Timberlake plays Sean Parker, former president of Facebook. “Fight Club” filmmaker David Fincher directed “The Social Network” from an adapted screenplay by Aaron Sorkin.
The film has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. The website RottenTomatoes.com, which is devoted to compiling reviews from across the country, logged only two negative critiques. Industry insiders expect “The Social Network” to be number one in box office receipts this weekend, with a projected take of at least 25-million-dollars. “The Social Network” is rated PG-13.
