For many people, helping others is a way for them to give back to their community as well as make them feel like they are contributing to society in a way that only the universe can reward them. Compassion for others is the best way to live a life full of great karma. Volunteering as a family teaches children how to grow in a world that is selfless and full of love. This summer there are a lot of opportunities available for families to get out into their community and help others less fortunate. Serving your community is the best way to show someone you care, spread hope or even give someone a reason to keep living.

For the perfect volunteer opportunity for the entire family, preparing meals to improve the health of malnourished kids and families could be a great chance for your family to feed thousands of at risk children and families throughout Las Vegas and around the world this summer. For two hours, your family can help pack meals for disaster response from natural disasters like recent flood and tornado victims across the country, and for overseas efforts to reach school children and orphans in need. Anyone from the ages of 5 – 105 can volunteer to be a part of a team of 17 people for this hands-on opportunity and great way to connect with local businesses, churches, youth groups, and civic clubs in your community.
