By Alisha Jackson,

We understand that everyone loves tradition, especially when it comes to the holidays. But we think that Christmas music stations and retail stores should make some room for new holiday classics, too.

Did you know that Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, Sam Smith, Jessie J, and Katy Perry all have holiday songs? Some songs, like Jessie J’s, are brand new. Others are a few years old, but still have yet to be heard by the holiday masses.

Luckily, we’re here to update your Christmas playlist. Here are some new songs to spread holiday cheer. Sing them loud for all to hear! 😉

1. Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me”

Ariana’s original Christmas song is flirty, catchy and fun! Watch Ari and friends dance around in their ugly Christmas sweaters and animal onesies in the video above!

If you like “Santa Tell Me”, then you’ll want to check out Ari’s brand new Christmas EP. Stream Christmas & Chill in its entirety here!

2. Meghan Trainor’s “I’ll Be Home”

Meghan’s Christmas song is also an original, written by the Massachusetts native herself. You can listen to Trainor’s beautiful ballad in the music video above.

3. Sam Smith’s “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”

Sam Smith’s cover of the holiday classic is beautiful. The song simply features Smith’s vocals over a piano, and it’s absolutely stunning. We’re not sure why this isn’t being overplayed everywhere.

4. Jessie J’s “Man With The Bag”

It’s only been out a couple of weeks, and Jessie J’s version of “Man With The Bag” has already officially become our favorite. We hope you enjoy Jessie’s theatrical jazzed up version of the song in the video above.

5. Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Last Christmas”

Carly’s version of “Last Christmas” is cute, but we can’t help but stand by Taylor Swift’s traditional cover of the tune. If you’re looking for more of an electronic sounding song, Carly’s version is definitely for you.

6. Katy Perry’s “Everyday Is a Holiday”

Katy’s new Christmas song may have been recorded for an H&M commercial, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t love it! Please release a full version, Katy!

7. Band Aid 30’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”

One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran and Rita Ora are just a few of the names on the 2014 star-packed version of “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” The song, which raised funds for the Ebola crisis, only made it to #63 on the U.S. Billboard chart, however it hit number one in multiple countries, including the UK.

8. Rita Ora’s “Jingle Bell Rock”

Okay, so this one isn’t an official Christmas song release, but we couldn’t help but bring attention to Rita Ora’s new sexy Mean Girls tribute!
